First of all, just let me say the cover for this book is absolutely beautiful and I think it fits the story perfectly! As far as what’s inside the cover, this story just completely blew me away. I’ve read The Woodlands series by Lauren and I loved those so I was expecting to love this too but it completely exceeded my expectations. I’m in love with Peter Pan so I was excited to see the different references and descriptions that made me think of that story. I was a little bit worried about the subject matter of the book because it deals with abuse. However, I think Lauren handled it perfectly and I found myself rooting for Nora and hoping that everything would turn out okay. I loved the way Kettle interacted with the “lost boys” and his relationship with Kin. I will definitely be reading anything Lauren writes. She was already one of my auto buy authors but this amazing book made me love her work even more. The last chapters just about had me in tears and when it ended, it left me wanting more. Like so many other people who have reviewed this book, I kept trying to turn the last page thinking it couldn’t be over yet.

Review for The Curse of Crow Hollow

_233_380_Book.1654.coverThe Curse of Crow Hollow by Billy Coffey

Rating: 4 bookmarks

There is a witch in the mountains, who some say deal with demons. She will curse anyone who gets close enough. Four teenagers decide to stay the night in the mountains and they end up too close to this town legend. Are they cursed or is there another reason they’re acting strange?

I loved the beginning of this book! The legend surrounding Alvaretta and the mystery surrounding the curse that these teenagers return with. I thought the middle of the book was a little bit slow which is why I rated it four stars instead of 5. I liked the southern style language and the narration in this book. I also really loved the ending, particularly the last chapter! Finding out who the narrator was one of the most amazing parts of the book to me!

Overall, I really liked this book and I would recommend it to everyone!
